INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFERINGS
- Code Red: All professional development activities are canceled when Prince William County Schools are closed for the entire day.
- Code Green: Professional development activities for administrators, supervisors, and coordinators will occur as scheduled. Professional development activities for teachers on less than 12-month contracts, teacher aides, bus drivers, bus driver attendants, cafeteria workers, and other less-than-12-month classified employees are canceled.
- Two-Hour Delayed Opening: If there is a delayed opening, full-day professional development activities scheduled to occur during the day will take place, but will follow the delayed schedule. Half-day morning or afternoon professional development activities will be canceled.
- One-Hour Early Closing: Professional development activities are canceled and may be rescheduled.
- Two-Hour Early Closing: Professional development activities are canceled and may be rescheduled.
- Cancellation of After-School Activities and Evening Programs: Some weather conditions or other situations may occur after school has been dismissed, but in the interest of safety, all after-school and evening activities may be canceled as announced by the Division.
- Cancellation of Saturday Activities: Information on the cancellation of Saturday activities may be obtained by consulting the PWCS web page and PWCS-TV.
